HELLO!
Wow,
What a season we have had so far. I hope all of you are having a great summer. The weather is hot - but that's what summer is all about.
The 8/14/10 WFA show went well and we thank all our Sponsors: WFA, Marshall Office Supply out of Rockingham, NC Mr. Bob Marshall , BB&T and Bob Gilmore .Our vendors: Billy Williams (Leather works) & Anna May (concession stand). I really thank our Barrel helpers and my dear friends who worked so hard, Mrs Cherie Deese. We had a great crowd and hope to see you on September 4th @ WFA
I am going to write this in here and I may be speaking for ALL ARENAS:
PLEASE - have respect for the shows you all attend
- DO NOT tie to any fence posting that a horse can set back on and cause problems
- Not all Trees are meant for tying on - if in doubt - please ask. Some trees are meant to last.
- If you do not want to keep your horse at your trailer due to it may being damaged, then why would you want to damage property that is not yours?
- If you know your horse is going to dig to China - then please hobble it.
I did watch at the Colonial when the riders where waiting, and along comes a rider smoking in the HOLDING Pen. As this inconsiderate smoker was riding - all the other riders made these DISGUSTING faces - but no one say anything! Why is that? Just food for thought. Please be considerate.
The Colonial went well for many members of NC that attended and congrats to all that ran.
The October 9th show @ CCRA will be changing to another date due to the Five Star Finals on that date. It may be in November, so keep your ears and eyes open to all the talk and text.
We also have another Arena that is going to be opening to our District next to the Rockingham Race Track right on RT 1 and they would like to have a show too in November sometime. I am working on it and will put more information on this site so, be on the look out. We are all looking forward to it. If I can get 2 more dates that will be it for the year WOO HOO!!!
Would any of you members be interested in having a car wash to add to our Award money? All Saturdays are full except the one that the President cup is on and that is on September 18th and it may be getting cooler too. It appears all Sundays are open but, there are some who do not like to to anything on a Sunday. Please let me know . I would like to hear from some of the members who may be receiving an Award. I really would like to have another Banquette this year and if you members want to share your thoughts on a place and date you can email me on that too.
Good Luck to all that are going to the President Cup this year and I know they will feel the Pressure of the NC riders.
